Me: (while holding Piper on my hip trying to get stuff done) "Piper please honey it's hot, must you want me to hold you all the time?"
I try to put her down and she curls her feet, please keep in mind that our AC is not on in the house and walking around alone is hot but when you have a little baby on you, whew it's WAY hot!
Piper: "err whining"
I decide to gently try and put her down near the dishwasher and show her the dishes and this is what happened....
Me: " OK Piper look at mommy, look at my eyes honey as soon as I put the dishes away I will cuddle you and nurse you OK?"
Totally expecting her to cry again, this is what she says.....
Piper: "OK" and walked away
Smooooooth talking Renee, and I pat myself on the back...LOL not really, but it was an exciting moment for me so of course I had to share that.

No AC?
We have central air but we are just choosing to not have it on to conserve energy, sounds crazy right? It is actually not too bad at night...it's during the day that stinks, but really it's not THAT bad.
I thought we were crazy for having ours set to like 83! I would go crazy if it was 90 in my house. I get crabby when I'm hot too!
