Today was hot, again, and since it's Thursday we headed over to the Brooks' house and did crafts (they home school as well). The kiddos shredded crayons and made bookmarks after they melted them between wax paper. Charly's turned out very pretty, and for some crazy reason I haven't gotten a picture of it! Bizarre I know!

This is Jared (almost 7), I snuck up on them while they were playing with legos. This was after they were running around the house laughing loudly and wrestling! Charly must really like him because she does not wrestle for just anyone. I can start to see a kind friendship blossoming with them and it's so cute to watch. They really get along well, and there is no drama which I like even more.
After our craft session(and some great conversation, as always) we headed to Charly's swim lesson where Piper played and posed like usual, she is such a little ham!Charly is so cute to watch, she is scared to jump into the water from the side for some reason. She is the last to jump in, Im assuming because she has to be talked into doing it. She bends down and then starts to go and then backs out, she repeats this about ten times before Miss Tana gets close enough to grab her hands and guide her into the water.
I asked her tonight after her shower why she was so frightened to jump and she said she was afraid of drowning! Poor Charly, this is where her cautious nature gets in the way of having fun. We will have to work with her on that and I'm sure her fear will subside, it just HAS to for goodness sake.

Being thursday also means that Nate has Elders so that left me to tackle the lawn. He didn't have much time to get ready after work, but he did have enough to start the mower before he left (thank goodness). Usually I have about an hour to mow before the girls start getting whiney and today was no different. I got 1/4 way done with the lawn when both Charly and Piper were crying because, get this, they BOTH fell out of the tree! No need to worry though it's a low tree and wasn't a bad fall for either of them, but still Piper for sure is way to young to be starting to climb trees. I guess I shouldn't be surprised at this point.
And for something completely off topic here, I am suffering from an addiction.....an addiction to photo editing! Now that I know how to put borders and my signature on them I just can't stop. Must go through 12 step program! I think I have it down so really it should take about 2 minutes per photo that I want to post on the web. Let's be real, we ALL know how poorly I function when I'm tired so I'm hoping I can figure out how to manage my time during the day that can include some quick editing, perhaps instead of sweeping ten times a day I can do that instead...HA that will NEVER happen!
