A blog full of updates and good times. Nate got home Sunday evening as expected and the girls were of course excited to see him. It was a nice ending to a somewhat stressful church day. I spent practically the whole third hour in the mothers room trying to get Piper to fall asleep so I could stay for choir practice, which I was looking forward to ALL week! She finally fell asleep when there was 5 minutes left in class, of course. When she goes with Nate to priesthood she is out like a light in five minutes. What a silly little girl! Anyhow so there was a whopping four people in choir, I was hoping there would be more to drown me out. It is pretty scary for me to sing in public, by myself at least. Im trying to get over that fear, hence the high dive analogy...which really doesnt make sense cause I am totally not afraid to do that. Oh well, whatever.
So yeah we got home, Nate arrived around seven, Charly gave him a stellar tattoo and then went to bed. After that it was literally like 90 degrees in our room (we still havent turned the main AC on for fear we may go bankrupt, not really) and so Nate and I were delirious from the heat I suppose and instead of talking we began singing about hot sweaty salty thighs. It was hysterical! Oh these are the memories I want to remember, which is why Im trying so very hard to blog positively....for the most part at least *wink wink*. P.S. I just had to take a few minute hiatus because a roach totally crawled on the computer. Nate to the rescue!!!
Oh and as if me pulling weeds almost the entire week last week, I had to dream about pulling weeds too. I would much rather my dreams be of me lying in a hammock relaxing, something that doesnt happen, hmmph. Oh well what's a momma to do? The girls and I are getting into the summer swing of things, going to bed later and sleeping in until about 9, which is great! I remember as a kid going to bed when the sun was still shining and my brother and I could hear kids playing outside, oh the memories! Although tonight was not a good bedtime for Charly, I think we missed the boat by thirty minutes because her claws came out and she lost control, meaning she wasnt exactly happy about going to bed. It doesnt really matter though because it was worth staying up for. We were singing church hymms with the help of the computer and she was helping me by giving wonderful words of encouragement.
This Charly of ours has such a wonderful spirit about her and its inspiring to see how much she loves the gospel at such a young age. Its funny how full circle I have come since having her, I always used to say that I didnt want to raise kids in the church because I wanted them to have their own choices, little did I know/feel at the time of how important it is for the kids to have that foundation. Sometimes I wish I could go back in time and shake some sense in me for all the crazy things I have done....like perhaps telling me when I was 18 not to get three tattoos, for one! Aye aye aye aye. I really need to blog shortly after things happen because when I wait a few days and try and remember the cool things that happen, I simply forget. At least I didnt forget to take some pictures! Enjoy
Something she like when Nate gets home from his Guard weekend is play dress-up and Charly is always the funky fresh princess.... of course!
