What a wonderful day it has been. While waiting for Nate to get home we went to our ward for a primary activity after which was followed by a pot luck. Charly helped me make mayonnaise, which turned out to be incredibly easy...then while I was making the pea salad she helped by picking out the really green ones and eating them to make sure all the perfect peas where in her belly where they belong. Charly is a Pea-a-holic! For snacks when we will be gone for a while, a spoon and a can of peas will have her set. I personally dont like peas all that much but whatever floats your boat right? She later took her finger to some frosting that spilled near the parking lot at church, yeah it was gross and funny at the same time.
Flash forward to Sunday, we are all tired and grouchy. Nate and I were up late last night...never a good idea before church but we always manage to try and have our "date night" watching SNL. The things we do to try and squeeze in mom/dad time. Its kind of funny though! Im grateful that Nate is the kind of man who isn't threatened or jealous of the kids (there are a lot out there who are). We have to laugh that our date night is usually sitting at home hoping the girls can go to sleep so we can watch a movie and hang out on the couch. Charly picks up everything and so we rarely have the TV on when she is around, its ridiculous how inappropriate commercials and shows are these days. Anyway so back to us being tired....I teach the kids in primary and it can be exhausting dealing with other peoples kids for two hours, I could NEVER do that full time. Ill take care of just my own kids thank you very much. But by the time church is over we are hungry and just ready to wind down. Currently Im waiting for Nate to get out of the shower so we can go to bed, yes at 7! *Gasp* can't wait for tomorrow, Nate is off and it should be a great day for some much needed family time. Im hoping we can get lots of things done outside like finish the pathway, get some fence posts in and just relax! I love love love it when Nate is home all day! Here's to a great Memorial day~
Oh and BTW my sourdough starter died again! I'm not giving up on this, I will get it eventually. I'm still waiting for my wheat berries to sprout a bit more too. I'm still trying to figure out how to do the layout of the pictures and its annoying me that they are bunched up at the top!

Hey, it took like 48 hours for mine to sprout! But you know that you have to take them out of the water after the first 12-24 hours right? After that, you just rinse and drain every 3-6 hours, until the sprouts are at least 1/8" long. I don't know if I didn mine wrong, because I made rolls last night, let them rise overnight, and they were kind of flat. I don't know if the diastic malt was the problem, or the rising process/time. I guess I'll have to make another batch of bread, to see if the malt is working properly
Ha ha yeah I know that you take the water out. I sprout beans and its the same process =)
