Eternal Families and tarantulas

This afternoon I took the girls to the library and Charly's friend, who is almost 5, came along as well. As we are walking Im listening to the world according to 5 year olds when Cadence says something about how if we die we will never see our family again. Without skipping a beat Charly was like yeah we will, we will see our families when they die and go to heaven...families are forever. It was one of those moments where I was smiling on the inside and outside. My little missionary Charly spreading the word. Today, heck this whole week, has been great and very productive. Nate has been in Lufkin doing fire academy  and what I thought was going to be a very slow week has turned out to not be slow at all. I have managed to get more done than I ever thought I would get done. While I was moving rocks around in the back yard I came across a giant tarantula, screamed, showed the girls and watched it squirt out brown puss when Avery(Charlys friend) touched its abdomen. It was already dead but creepy none the less. I can only imagine what kind of creepy crawlers are lurking in the rocks out back.
Anyhow Nate gets back Saturday night, we all miss him very much! Saturdays are not the same without him. Now let me see if I can post some pictures...hmmm (five minutes later) OK so I figured out how to upload the pictures to the blog. Can I just say how I am loving the new camera which we got because I dropped the old digital down the stairs while attempting to carry Piper, clothes and the camera. I guess things like that will happen. But anyways we should have gotten a digital SLR years ago. The difference in the shot quality is amazing, I had very little creative control with the point and shoot and I don't know why we were OK with that for sooo long.  Its so nice to get back that creative outlet for me I didn't realize how much I missed photography until now, but I'm sure glad to be back....even if it did take me ten years.
On a side note, I recognize how "all over the place" this blog is and I attribute that to my tired brain, that's all =)

your pictures are great! Don't you love it when you realize that everything you teach your children doesn't go through them like a siv?
