Due to the long break in between blogs I feel to need to catch everyone up on our small town lives. I should start by mentioning in the world of Piper it was pretty exciting! She had her very first hot dog and skittle, yes I know it is VERY exciting that we have introduced her to the world of junk food. Seriously though she did enjoy the experience. Piper has also been interested in running around without a diaper, and the interest to pee wherever she pleases. I hope my mom can "fix" that.
I got released from my calling (CTR 5-6) and called to be in the Primary presidency for our ward. I still really don't know fully what my responsibilities are but hope to know more after tonight's meeting. To be honest, I'm most nervous about a regular sharing time schedule(doing the lesson for the whole primary during third hour).
Something else really exciting happened this week, today in fact....
I came across a giant tarantula crawling across the hall upstairs! My first reaction was to PANIC! Second I stood back with Piper in my arms and literally took deep breaths trying to think of who I could call to get this creature out of my house. Seriously there is no way I was catching that thing. So I called Nate and told him he HAD to come home and get it (thank goodness it was raining today and he was in the office). Charly, Piper and I watched it for the entire 16 minutes it took Nate to get home.
The giant spider did not move, he must have been scared too.
On the bright side, now we have a very cool thing to show Seth and Jared tomorrow at co-op. Im traumatized for the moment but hopefully that feeling of having creepy crawlers all over my body will soon pass.
We just found out Nate is attending more fire training for a few weeks next month down in Bastrop TX. This class is geared toward helicopters training for wild fire purposes.
Charly continues to have issues with her attitude and is in funk. Yes a funk. We love her but have to admit we are kind of anxious for this growing spurt/change to be done...at least for a short break until her next one.
Ahhh Piper so calm when she's asleep! Even she needs a break from hanging from the ceiling. I guess now would be a good time to mention that this week also brought Piper the ability to jump off of things. Yippee! (Setting imaginary Dr. to speed dial now)
Piper and Joseph are really great friends, only Joseph doesn't know it yet. This cute little guy is abused by Piper! She knocks him down, pushes him over and lies on top of him, oh and lets not forget the fact that she always takes his binky away from him. He has got to be traumatized by now! I can just see his poor little face change from happy to scared as they pull into our driveway. BTW he is only 10 months, I don't think Piper got that memo.

These are some of your most beautiful photos yet, I LOVE the feetsies. My FAVORITE baby part. And Pipers profile, asleep...if I had a uterus it would be in my throat bout NOW! I hate this inbetween stage of motherhood, no more babies yet not ready to be the Grammy, (sigh). Enjoy my friend!
