A walk downtown

The girls and I took a very spur of the moment trip down to SA for a few days and I thought while my mom was out with Charly I would walk around downtown to try and break in my new lens....notice I said "try" as I have a lot of practicing to do.
It has been a looong time since I just walked downtown and checked out the Alamo and San fernando Cathedral, which BTW is beautiful! I was a little shocked that while people are praying at the alter there are tours coming and going and photographers(including myself) walking in and out on "sacred ground". I will admit it did feel a bit odd, but for the sake of art I pressed on trying to be as quiet as possible. Piper on the other hand was enjoying the wonderful acoustics.

I switched out the Muse for the 50mm lens for this one
$6 in parking fees and two hours later Piper and I hopped back into the car and went for a ride around the old neighborhood where Rudy and I grew up. It's always so weird to see how my perception changes as I get older. I was disapointed that there were no ice cream trucks to be found around woodlawn lake.  I was hoping to get a Chango(sp) which is a sno cone with lucas and pickle juice mixed in....delicious!

The crucifixion image looks like something out of an Exorcist movie. It is very artistic and interesting.
It looks like you are learning fast what the new lens can do.
Great work as always,
Love you, Nate
