Yesterday the girls and I hopped in the car and headed back home from San Antonio to make it in time for our wards annual trunk or treat. While we had such a blast and productive time at my moms, it was nice to be home again.
Good news - the walls were still intact! With all the rain we had our poor windows drank lots and lots of water I'm sure. The new windows are about a month ahead of schedule and are supposed to be put in next week, we are VERY excited about that.
Back to the trick or treating in Bonham. Charly was kind of a sour puss the first hour we got there and Piper would not leave my side the entire time. I think Charly thought we would be trick or treating right when we got there...hello girl haven't you heard of a dance party before? LOL I was super bummed that she would not dance to the Halloween music that was playing the cultural hall.
Once we let the kids loose out in the parking lot Charly came alive and was thrilled to get all the candy. She kept going round and round while I chatted with Jessica in the truck of our car. Jessica wins my award for "most unrecognizable witch". Her make-up job was amazing, thanks to our friend Dee.
It was very sweet to watch Charly collect extra candy for her daddy. Piper sat in my lap and helped hand out the candy while sucking on a tootsie pop(my favorite). We are excited for round two of trick or treating which will be in HG tonight. It will be great to participate in a community activity!
