Last night our family returned from SA after a five day mini vacation with my family and when I say vacation I mean eating loads of Mexican and Chinese food and driving in city traffic to get to and from anywhere. We seriously consumed enough food to last an entire week while we were there, it was crazy good but totally ridiculous. Piper even woke up one morning complaining of a stomach ache and said it was because she ate too much. LOL In this picture below I'm surprised any of us had the energy to crack a smile after eating our weight in chips at Chuy's for Kristy's birthday lunch.
After which we met with my dad in Bandera where we saw a world famous longhorn named Oreo and ate at The China Bowl, which wouldn't be complete without going to DQ afterward. That is something my dad started with the girls and they NEVER forget about going there after stuffed bellies of won-tons.
Needless to say, that night we were all aching, I was at least!
Oh almost forgot to mention before the whole Chinese cuisine and DQ we walked around the Bandera river and a crazy goose attacked my sister forcing her to the ground on her butt, it was pretty funny even if she was scared to death. Oops did I just say that? I admit I would have messed myself if that happened to me but she was able to laugh about it so I can too. Meanwhile Nate being the animal whisperer he is convinced one to come into his arms so he could pet it while we watched from a distance.Rewind to Friday when Nate and I were supposed to go downtown on a date we ended up going car shopping instead (thinking that we may get a better deal in a big city). We traded in our cool clown car for a Dodge Caravan and learned a lesson we will probably never forget.....Once you get a van, keep it because you will probably at some point need it again. It sure was nice driving home not being in each others laps and we even got to fill up on cleaner and cheaper fuel (Ethanol) which was very cool for us. Now we hope the Ethanol hype builds up on something other than corn so it will be more efficient in the future.
After spending almost 8 hours at the dealer going back and forth we decided to just go back to my mom's after eating pizza at a very clean Pizza Hut (not like the ghetto one here, LOL) and relax. Whew, car dealing is a workout!
