I know probably all my readers have no idea about my middle school skating days, you know what I'm talking about....wooden floors, Boys II Men, and the infamous "make out corner", which I, BTW was never able to take part of, probably because boys were intimidated by my awesomeness...yeah Renée, thaaaat's it.
Yup, I was quite the partaker of skating rinks in my day so you can imagine the excitement I had when we got invited to a skating party at an actual rink in Paris (just when you thought I couldn't get any more fabulous).
The only thing cooler than skating is learning how to skate which, not to our surprise, Piper seemed to get the hang of pretty quickly. The girls both had their share of wall crawling and falling, still managing to have fun through the mishaps.
Nate even got to whip out his blades which haven't seen any action since we moved here. Bumpy roads and blades don't mix....actually now that I think of it, I'm pretty sure nothing mixes with blades anymore and for that matter who even calls them "blades" still?
I suppose I'll let Nate slide with this lack of coolness this one time. He is a pretty awesome baby daddy to our girls. And when I say pretty awesome I actually mean he is the best!
PS. This time around, along with skating with the girls, Nate took me to the "make-out" corner...OK, OK he didn't really, but I know it's definitely on his to-do list, it just has to be!
Oh and just for the record I am totally kidding about boys being intimidated by me as a young lady, I totally get that I was a complete dork, a little bit awkward and maybe even a tad creepy at times. It's just more fun to pretend I was this totally awesome gal when clearly I was not.
It's a good thing creepy, awkward, and dorky girls are actually exactly what Nate was looking for to mother his children. I sure lucked out on that one.
Oh and ALSO, I'm super tired right now because I thought it would be a really great idea to wake up early and watch "The Royal Wedding". Mucho mucho sarcasm comes out when I am mucho mucho tired.
The end....for real this time.

You are totally awesome!
I miss the good ole skating rink days. The HUGE pickles, the slanted floor with carpet bumps, the slow hand holding songs....I had to sneak there by spending the night at friends houses when I was in mid school..."mom, can I go to the skating rink?"
mom- "Who's gonna be there?"
me- "I dont know!"
mom- "Will there be boys there?"
me- "Well motherrr..I'm sure there is bound to be one or two..It IS a public place."
mom- "No"
Ahhhh, those were the days......
