Charly in "Sherlock Holmes and the Grimm Imbroglio"

It's pretty awesome being in your first play, especially all the time you have backstage waiting for the moment you get to speak your lines. It certainly helps to snuggle up on a cozy chair and read a book...actually that only lasted a few minutes, but it made for a great picture anyways.
Charly played Ingrid, alongside Hansel, Gretel, and Dietrich. While she had a few speaking parts I think her favorite, and mine too, was the dancing scene where Charly is front and center (below). Her belly dancing lessons really payed off as she twirled and whirled around Sherlock while he put the puzzle together.
I am still amazed at the work the director put into this play in such a short amount of time. It was cute, funny and very entertaining for all of us. Charly loved it too! We are all a little sad that tonight is closing night but to be honest, I can't wait to hear what Miss Lisa has in store for the next play.

PS I got to make the skirts for Ingrid and Gretel as well as altering a few coats for other characters (see above). I had to squeal a little when Lisa asked me to help in the area. "Who, Moi?"..."You want ME to help sew?" LOL, it is exciting to be in the position to help, seven years ago all I was sewing was strait lined curtains. Now if only I could get there with piano, LOL.

Renee, you got GREAT shots! I can't imagine that was an easy task, given the lighting situations in most theaters! She looks adorable!
