At the end of the day I am filled with joy to go through pictures and to see how happy Charly and Piper remain despite the days I have been having.
I decided to get the camera out around 7 when Piper climbed as high as Charly in the tree all by herself. They were being really cute with each other, thank goodness I had the zoom lens on.
We spent the first half of the day in the living room with me on the couch (dreaming of tacos and chicken noodle soup) so they were pretty excited to spend the rest of the afternoon playing in the sprinkler and running around like crazy girls.
The day after my last post has been the hardest so far. I woke up, took Shelby outside and threw up. Right next to my garden. *sigh*. I thought after going through lunch and dinner without throwing up again that I would be OK, I actually took the girls to Subway for dinner and endulged in a sandwich with all the fixins'..... including jalapenos.
Big mistake!
Let's just say they aren't as pleasant coming up as they were going down.
Yesterday and today have been tolerable, I have figured out as long as I can stay ahead of hunger it is not so bad. That is a problem within itself though because from there arises the issue of what to eat. But I'm not complaining. Promise.
I did get some good news today while calling around the different midwives that service our county. I found out that our insurance will actually cover 65% of cost(out of network coverage). I'm going to see what I can do to have them cover more, seeing as how there aren't any midwives to choose from in our network. Funny, when I called to ask for an out of network exception the lady laughed at me, kind of rude actually. Next, I will bypass them completely and go through a midwife billing company to see what our options are.
I'm confused why insurance companies will pay 100% for a hospital birth(around ten grand.....at least) but won't pay 100% for a measly $3500 homebirth.
I guess I'm not too boggled by the idea actually, I mean it's pretty obvious these big companies don't want to support something that drives very little money into the pharmaceutical company's pockets.
Oh well at this point I am just thrilled we won't have to pay the entire fee out of pocket.
We meet two midwives this week, one on Thursday and one Friday. Depending on how those interviews go we may or may not schedule to meet with the other two in our area.
Either way it feels awesome to be going through this again and after talking with the midwives I'm confident the hour plus distance from them to our house won't be an issue...even if the baby decides to come super fast.
