Probably because they knew they were about to be spoiled like crazy.
........Mostly there was lots to catch up on at our local Bonham Wal-Mart.
Nothing says a trip to Honey Grove like stopping off at the fine shopping experiences. We even went to a Western store on the square where he gave me pointers on what kind of cowboy boots would be best to buy.
The main objective to going there was to get Charly an upgraded, larger bike to fit her growing body.
Mission complete!
Charly rode the bike all through the store even with the training wheels on.
She has been riding a bike for two years now, all without any training wheels! Balance bikes are freaking amazing!
Piper and Charly so enjoyed "Papaw" running back and forth after them on their wheeled vehicles.
Although Piper can't say Grandpa well at all, her version is much cuter. "Papaw, papaw".
Both girls think it would be a great idea if 'Papaw' came back to see them very soon. We all enjoyed having him so much and it was nice to get to feed him meals that I made. Usually we always goes out to eat when he visits. I guess he got brave this time to try my cooking, either that or he spent all his money buying dolls and wheels for the girls.
Even more than what he got Charly and Piper, the greater gift was all the time he spent with them, playing games, reading, watching cartoons etc.
We love it when family comes to see us!
Looking forward to seeing my momma, Rochelle and Kristy in a couple of weeks to celebrate Charly's "birthday" which I have so much planning to do still.
Best get going on that! (Like my country twang?) Ha ha
