After living in the tiny lil' ole town of Honey Grove for a year, we finally braced ourselves in the Dallas traffic and took a field trip with the Brooks' family to the Dallas Museum of Art (DMA).
Turns out the first Tuesday of the months are free! I wish I had more time to admire the beautiful artwork, but I have a feeling I will definitely return here.
Only next time we will leave our sweet little Piper with some loving grandparents.
Of course I had to get a picture of this exquisite painting.....not really my style of art but lovely none the less.
A story time break and crafts were needed after trying to keep Piper from all the expensive pieces of work, whew am I tired after chasing her around a gigantic museum!
Here she is pouting because she couldn't climb a sculpture....and then playing a game of tree tag in the courtyard, which Charly loved!
I wish I could have spent more time with my camera but to be quite honest I was pretty exhausted and tied up with Piper.
The almost two hour drive there and back was filled with songs of donuts which left ALL of us wanting some, so in the morning after school we will meet at the local donut shop to satisfy our cravings. Mmm I hope they have long Johns!
Completely off topic but worth noting....
Last night for FHE we played a game of hide and go seek in the house.....with all the lights off.
I was a little scared, but it was awesome! We all had a blast! Charly and I were a team and Nate and Piper teamed up, seriously if you have not tried this game, you must. I still can't stop laughing when I think of her and I hiding in the shower, our butts wet, trying not to giggle. Or when we were searching for Nate and Piper, came upstairs for the second time opened the closet door and were scared out of our pants when we found them. Yup so scared we were rolling on the bed laughing!
