Hooray, you all say as you see that there is a new post here on the blog! Don't get too excited. This one will be a quick update.
This week has been C-RAZY!!!
It all started when I realized last week that I was having a Twilight Party, to which people will be coming to the house who haven't seen it. *Gasp* This was definitely the encouragement I needed to get my butt in gear and start painting with or without the help of my super husband.
I have been painting since then. That was last friday and I am finally done with the downstairs. Of course I need to do a couple of touch ups but that is child's play after going through five gallons of paint to cover all the walls!
Nate and I headed to IKEA on Wed. to pick out curtains which was fun and surprisingly simple. It is crazy how cozy the house feels with curtains to cover the windows. I feel like the house has its arms around me...yes I know that is bizarre. I can't believe it took me this long to "live" in our casa!
The girls have been extra naughty this week and I know it's from me being tied to a latter or cleaning or painting or painting or painting or painting, get my point? Even as I blog Piper is taking pencil to the freshly painted wall, eh, whatever right?
Charly has been really wanting to do math this week and so that is what her "School" has been. She is writing numbers to 100 (I'm sure she can do more but that is what I have seen so far) and can read the numbers as well. Poor girl has had to rely on the scripture scouts for her scriptures this week and I am ready to get back into a regular groove.
Nate has had one day off in the past month (he's in Ft Worth this weekend) and will be working through Thanksgiving as well so I am very much looking forward to Dec. to be here. I can't wait to go to Utah! We are all very excited. Although I must admit I wish I could speed through the car ride there, ugh!
My mom is going to watch Shelby so that will be very helpful but that also means out trip is going to have six hours added onto it so we can drop Shelby off.
Oh, Oh, almost forgot. To make things even more hectic (because that's how I roll) I have started weaning Piper as well. It has been four days since we started. We have the day taken care of which includes naps and bedtime but she is still nursing when she wakes up in the middle of the night. I plan on working on the nighttime nursing in the next couple of weeks and wrapping all of it up by the end of the month.
Poor Piper is so sad about this, she keeps asking for Na-na and when I tell her no more nursey she pouts her bottom lip and asks why. It's heartbreaking. I really don't want to wean her yet but I am not in a good place when I nurse her. I have become a grumpy nursing momma and I certainly don't want her to be in the line of my snappiness.
Besides Nate and I would like to add to our family and my body is just not kicking it into gear with little miss Piper nursing in the wee hours of the night. I'm thankful that I'm not feeling guilty for wanting to wean her which seems odd for me to say. I don't know. Charly is not helping in that department. She keeps telling me "mom, why don't you just nurse her?" or "aw mom she wants nursey, just look at her".
Tomorrow we are going to the Dallas Temple for a primary activity and I know I should be looking forward to this,I am just so ready to get this weekend over with so I can relax on Monday...with Nate.

You sure you want to add another 6 hours to a 22 hour trip??? Why don't you just drop her off at our house, and save yourself 5 hours? Our dog would love it, and she'll have plenty of space to roam.
