While I was humoring Charly this morning with the camera, she was doing math, I decided that if I didn't walk around and get shots of the house now then it would probably never happen. I attached a fish eye converter and the ISO was set at 6400 so these are practically cell phone quality photos but I think you will get the point anyways, LOL.
Above is the front door area. When we came into this foyer I fell in love with the house, something about these stairs and the sound of little feet walking down them.
Below is the view from the front door. To the right is the parlor and the dining room and straight ahead is the TV room.
The TV room, that door leads to the downstairs bathroom (below). You would think I would have at least gotten the vacuum tank off the floor along with the dirty clothes, such is life!
The kitchen used to be painted a chalkboard green that was not flattering. Actually all the walls were some sort of earthy tone whether it be brown, beige, off white etc. It is so refreshing to see this grey color on the walls, it really pops the wood trim in the parlor AKA art room (below). The dining room has bare walls still. I want to use them to hang my photos. I saved some old windows and want to finish them up to use as frames which would hold 2x3' images so I'll print those one at a time, as they are pricey.
In the dining room you'll see there are doors leaning on the wall, they are from all the rooms downstairs. I wanted to take them off to open things up and we are planning on making shelves with them. We'll buy some tracking and attach it to the sides where you can mount boards.

Hi Renee! I followed a link from facebook and found your blog. I LOVE it! I had no idea you were such a great photographer! And your house is so cute and charming. I saw a door made into a shelf here: http://theidearoom.blogspot.com/2009/11/make-shelf-out-of-door.html
I've been dying to try it ever since, we just need the door. It's such a cute idea! Anyway, love the blog!

Your new curtains look fantastic!
oh that's what the stairs look like. I have to say... no paint on the stairs! LOL ;) They are beautiful, but yeah.. dark! Maybe strip them and re-stain them a lighter color?
