Here is our sweet tiny newest baby and all his/her glory. Last week when we had our ultrasound I kept dropping hints to the tech about casually sliding around to the bottom to see the goodies and know the sex but I think the look on Nate's face affirmed we really didn't want to know. Immediately after I was so grateful for the decision not to find out.
I am so anxious for the birth and meeting this new person. It is overwhelming to think of the event of birth topped off with not knowing who we will be meeting.
A couple of days ago after my sister Rochelle left back home, Nate and I settled on the couch and looked through baby name books. We own one and I checked out two from the library, surely out of 150,000 names we could find two we could agree on.
I have been dead set on Birdie for a girl's name but Nate really didn't like it too much and I wasn't willing to sway...until he presented me with another name that in my opinion is just as cool and unique. So we have a girl name decided and because we want the element of surprise to be even bigger for our friends/family/us, we are not telling everyone. Nate and I agreed I could disclose the initials on the blog though, LOL. Her initials (if it is in fact a girl, which I suspect it is) will be W.L.C.
The boy name came quickly and completely unexpected shortly after we decided on the girl name. We went outside for a break when it hit me, I presented it to Nate he had no hesitation followed by a thumbs up from Chalry. We knew we had found 'the one'. I was a little surprised at the name combination because the first is not as unique as I thought something we would come up with but it totally fits with the middle name and flows perfectly. We are still not sure if he would go by his first or middle name or both but Im sure once we saw his face we would know....assuming it is a boy. I love that feeling when you find a name and you just know it is the one. What a relief to have found a girl and boy name only five months into the pregnancy. Almost forgot, the boy initials would be W.B.C.
Happy guessing! And if you are one of the few that know please help us keep the secret. =)
On another note, check out my growing belly and Charly's photography skills.....Here I am at 17.5 weeks. (Currently I'm a day from 19 weeks)
She promised me she would love on Piper for a picture if I let her take a picture of me. Gotta love bartering with the camera.
Besides starting school this week, I have nesting to keep me busy as well. This past weekend my mom and Kristy came up to paint Charly's room. Kristy bought too much paint so I decided to take it to the hallway and cover up the gross smoker white paint that was already there from the previous owner. I LOVED IT! Now I'm on a mission to paint the entire house and get pictures up to make it homey in time for the birth to occur here. I guess I didn't realize how much I missed color until I saw the comparison of the brightly blue wall next to the drab gray.
The past few days I have been working on the hallway. Nate took the chandelier down so I could finally paint it white, a project I have wanted to do since we moved in here A YEAR AND A HALF AGO! I also finished up painting the entry way lime green and am super anxious to see what it looks like with giant B&W prints put up. I still can't believe with all the pictures I take I have very few up and displayed for us to look at, it is a shame! My goal is to work room by room, not to take on the whole house at once. I can't wait to pick photos to go up in this space.
Oh and to jazz it up even more, we are painting the front part of each stair white. It already looks like a 100 year face lift on this old house. Don't get me wrong I love the character this old house has but I really want to young it up a bit, we are after all not in our 70's.

Be careful...my mom was sneaky and asked one of the boys what the new baby would be name (calm down...I'm talking about Oscar, not a 4th baby, lol)! She knew a 3.5 year old would crack. LOL!
I can't wait to hear your names!
Oh, and the chandelier looks AWESOME!
I am excited to hear the names! I am happy that you are still going to be surprised!!! I love the lime green.
