Cowboy boots, Chinese food, ice cream and Bandera Texas have got to be the best combination of a memorable day with my dad, AKA "Papaw" we have almost ever had. Of course I took pictures, and they were fun pictures at that, but I ended up erasing ALL of them accidentally when I was getting ready for the big wedding gig.
It is sad, but then I giggle thinking about my girls, Rochelle and my dad cruising down main street seeking desperately for used kids cowboy boots. We found some.... and are all, for the exception of Piper, sporting some good ole' Tony Lama boots. Yeehaw!
Something tells me we need to go back to the scene and recreate those pictures the next time I'm down south.
After my wedding gig past I wasn't stressed anymore about using my camera for every day simple happy events.
When I am with the girls at my mom's house I love that she will completely takes charge and feed them and play with them and bathe them and do fun things with them while I take a vacation from those simple tasks and nap in the front lawn like a hobo.
Oh yes, I do love me a nap in the sun.
We have had quite a few birthdays the past month and so Piper has been obsessed with singing happy birthday to herself nonstop. Rudy and my mom were very kind in letting her join in the blowing out of their candles.
Rochelle came home with flowers from her "boyfriend" of one month which was very cute. I think he did pretty good picking out tulips. (don't worry they perked up after a nice drink of water). Now I just want to meet this young fellow.
Abruptly I'm ending this post. I'm so ready for bed and the morning always come quicker than I would like it to. I'm slowly getting used to waking up earlier and earlier as the girls do but after 26 years of not doing that, I suspect it is going to take years to like it, LOL.
