It's 8pm and Im still sweating!

Well it's official, I am declaring Texas the state which is a constant oven. Yep that's right, no longer will it be the place I was born, but the place that, in the summer, is an oven.
During these hot days we have been having I usually do my outside chores in the early morning or late evening. After watering the garden, Charly wanted to ride her bike out front and so I sat on the porch and watched her and Piper playing and having fun. I thought to myself "self, it sure it hot out here, in fact you are sweating" It was 8pm and I was just SITTING there! Either Im out of shape or Texas is an oven....am I in hell? I pondered that thought for just a moment and then remembered that there is no way there would be beautiful sunflowers blooming in hell. Phew I'm safe, but TX is an oven none the less. Glad I figured that out! Im glad to be indoors right now with the air conditioner that we now have on all the time. What was I thinking trying to go all summer with no air? Sometimes I have my crazy moments and apparently that was one of them.

So while I was bathing in sweat Charly was showing Piper the ins and outs of riding a bike.  My little adrenaline junkie at least had knee pads before she tried to run into the street. I tell her "DANGER PIPER DANGER" and then she looks up with curious eyes and asks "Why?" Im pretty sure that the whole why asking didnt arrive with Charly until like a year ago, although I could be off on that.

Oh and if you are wondering why Piper suddenly has chin hair it's because Nate is shedding.  Err let me explain,  Nate was holding her as I shaved his hair this evening (trying to get it shorter so he could shave with a razor). We didnt even notice that she had a mouthful of hair until a few minutes later when we were moving the piano. There sits Piper on the couch when Nate starts laughing, and of course I grab the camera to capture the moment. Poor kid was not even phased by the fact that she was eating pieces of hair.  Oh yeah these are the good times!

I love the picture of Piper in the knee pads! You need to enter some of these pics in some sort of contest you are good and you have great subjects to take pictures of. Michaela is excited for Charly to be riding on a two-wheeler.
